
YWCA Fort Worth & Tarrant County presents the Institute for Community Involvement
The YWCA Institute for Community Involvement strives
to increase the number of underrepresented individuals
participating in the public policy process in Tarrant County.
The YWCA Department for Racial Justice is committed to advancing
and assisting underrepresented groups and individuals in getting
involved in the community. The Institute for Community Involvement
offers hands-on information to help participants:
-Understand the responsibility of making a commitment to serve
-Gain knowledge of the demographics of Tarrant County
-Discover different arenas of public service in which to get involved
-Understand the types and range of skills needed to serve
-Investigate the types of public service opportunitites available
-Make a commitment and implement goals for community
involvement
